Manual
Game Settings
This section is only relevant for fishing in the Legion expansion. If you are fishing on WotLK, you can safely skip this point and move on.
Since Fishing Bot only works with the 32-bit game client, you need to launch that one. If your server has a launcher, you should find the option to launch the 32-bit client in its settings and activate it. If there is no launcher or the option is missing, you can launch the 32-bit client by adding launch parameters in the properties of the game's executable shortcut.
To do this, you need to:
- go to the folder with the installed game.
- right-click (RMB) on the Wow.exe file and select 'Create shortcut'.
- right-click (RMB) on the created shortcut and select 'Properties'.
- in the properties window, in the 'Target' field, add the parameter -noautolaunch64bit to the end of the line, separated by a space:
- move/copy 'Wow.exe - Shortcut' to the desktop (the shortcut can be renamed);
- launch the game using this shortcut.
Bot Settings
The bot window looks like this:
Fishing Mode
- Catch all - skill leveling mode — the bot catches everything that comes up.
- All except exclusions - the bot catches all fish, but discards items specified in the exclusions to filter out "junk".
- Container Opening - during fishing, the bot will open containers / chests / clams from the specified list to save space.
- Lures / enhancements - check the box to have the bot use lures during fishing.
For advanced parameter settings, click the pencil icon ✏️ next to the corresponding mode.
Setting up used Lures
These settings are relevant for the bot designed for fishing in the Legion expansion. The WotLK bot will equip the fishing rod that gives the greatest bonus to the fishing skill and apply a similar lure.
- Use the best lure - during fishing, the bot will track the presence of lures in your bags and, if there is no lure on the fishing rod, it will apply the best one (the one that increases the fishing skill the most). This mode also takes into account fishing hats, which are also supported by the bot.
- Use Legion Lures - during fishing, the bot will use lures that allow catching rare fish. Lures will be used as they are caught.
- Use Legion rare fish - when catching a rare fish, the bot will discard it, increasing your fishing skill (if it is not fully leveled). If you are using an artifact fishing rod, the rare fish will also be discarded to level up that rod.
- Draenor Lures - check the unique Draenor lures that the bot should use. If several lures are selected, a random one will be applied, provided it is available in the bags.
Loot Filtering and Container Opening
In these windows, you need to specify the names of the items, one per line, that the bot will discard / open (use) during fishing. For easier list filling, you can fill the bottom list with items from your bags by clicking the "A" button, after which a double left-click on an item from that list will add it to the top list.
Auto Shutdown Mode
The bot can Shut down the computer or Close the game and itself, leaving the computer on after a specified time interval. You must choose which action the bot will perform as the Auto Shutdown action.
If you want the bot to teleport the character to the tavern before Auto Shutdown, check the corresponding box.
Reaction Settings
The bot provides several reactions to protect you from bothersome players or, God forbid, from a GM check.
- Reaction to private messages and /say messages – if you want the bot to react to incoming private messages and/or /say messages – check the corresponding boxes and select the reaction method in the drop-down list.
- Reaction to death – if your character is killed, the bot will perform the action specified in the drop-down list on the right.
- Movement/Turn – when the character's position or view angle changes, the bot will perform the selected action.
- Full bags – when bags are full, the bot will perform the action you have chosen.
- Pause Duration – the duration of the pause in seconds that the bot will observe when a reaction triggers and the action is a pause. For example, if you set Sound + Pause for the PM reaction and set the pause duration to 30, when an incoming private message arrives, the bot will play a sound, wait 30 seconds, and then resume fishing.
- Disconnect – if a disconnect occurs during fishing, the bot can re-log into the game and continue fishing. For this feature to work correctly, you need to enter the authorization data in the corresponding settings window:
Where:
- Login (e-mail) – your game login;
- Password – your account password;
- Account – if your BattleNet account has multiple WoW accounts, you must enter the name of the desired account in this field. If there is only one WoW account, this field should be left blank;
- Realm – The server where your character is located;
- Character name – your character's name;
- Pause before reconnect, min – if you want the bot to re-log into the world after a disconnect not immediately, but after some time interval, you must specify this interval.
To save time and avoid errors, you can use the auto-fill feature for the authorization fields – clicking the "A" button will fill in all fields except the password. You will naturally need to enter the password yourself.
To open the authorization data settings window, you need to select the "Change Data" option in the disconnect reaction drop-down list.
4. Additional Actions
- Use Raft – if you want to fish from a raft, check this box, and the bot will use a raft if it's missing or before its effect ends.
- Water Walking Buffs – if you want to fish while standing on water using class skills ( Path of Frost, Levitate, and Water Walking are supported) or Elixirs ( Elixir of Water Walking and Draenor Water Walking Elixir are supported), check this box, and the bot will use the necessary spell or elixir if the buff is missing or before it expires.
- Action Button – if you need to press a button during fishing, you should enter that button into this field.
- Press Interval – the interval at which the Action Button will be pressed (if selected).
As buttons, you can only use English letters, numbers, F1...F12 keys, punctuation marks, and key combinations. Russian letters cannot be used. If your abilities are bound to F1, F2, etc., you need to enter f1, f2, etc., into the corresponding program fields. If your ability is bound to a key combination, you need to enter the first letter of each modifier key, as well as the key with which the modifier keys are used: c1 (Ctrl + 1), cs2 (Ctrl + Shift + 2), casf3 (Ctrl + Alt + Shift + F3), etc.
